Overview

Salesforce holds a lot of your customer data, but it’s not always easy to stay on top of the cases and renewal opportunities that actually matter. With Noded, you can create cases and opportunities straight from your notes, and we’ll keep those linked and tracked automatically.

Salesforce can show you every case for an account, but it can’t tell you which ones matter most to Jane - your buyer - or give you the full context behind each issue. Noded connects the dots. It keeps track of your commitments in Salesforce and brings your relevant notes right alongside them, so you and your team always know what’s happening and what needs attention.

How it works

Once connected, Noded automatically ingests any Salesforce Case or Opportunity whenever you paste or reference its URL. Your notes are also logged to the relevant accounts you’ve tagged, keeping everything tied together.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Paste Case or Opportunity links from Salesforce into Noded for automatic tracking.
  • Highlight text in your notes and generate new Cases or Opportunities directly from Noded, then save them back to Salesforce.
  • See updates to Cases and Opportunities inside Noded, along with the context and next actions you need to move accounts forward.

Each record stays linked to its related accounts in Noded, so the full picture is always one click away.

Configure

Any user can connect their Salesforce account from the Apps section in Noded.

To add/connect your Salesforce account to Noded:

  1. Under the Salesforce app in Noded, click on the "Connect" button.
  2. When prompted, authorize Noded to connect to your Salesforce account by clicking the "Allow" button.
  3. Done! You should see your email in green under the Salesforce app, and the button that previously had "Connect" will now display "Settings".

To check the status of your Salesforce connection:

  1. Under the Salesforce app in Noded, click on the "Settings" button.
  2. If the Salesforce connection is functioning as expected, you should see the status as "WAITING".
  3. If the Salesforce connection is not functioning as expected, you will see the status as "FAILED". In the case of a failed connection, we recommend clicking on the refresh icon beside the word "FAILED", which will prompt you to re-authorize and reset the connection with Salesforce.
  4. If you wish to disable your Salesforce connection temporarily, you can toggle the switch beside the connection to off.

To remove your Salesforce connection:

  1. Under the Salesforce app in Noded, click on the "Settings" button.
  2. Click on the red button showing a broken link to "Disconnect this application from your account".
  3. Once disconnected, Noded will no longer bring your Salesforce events into Noded.

To delete your Salesforce records:

  1. Click on the "Everything" section in Noded and change the filter from "Everything" to “Records”.
  2. Open each event one-by-one clicking the Delete button to remove it.
