Keeping it all straight
We started our company because we had a vision for how to attack the market — a unique skillset, a unique voice, and a few awesome people who wanted to go on the journey with us. We're a digital creative and marketing agency disrupting a legacy market, and we know how to work with customers and drive their projects.
What we didn't know was how hard it would be to keep everything about every customer straight — and sharing and collaborating across the team was an imperative.
The challenge: beyond project management and call transcripts
We use Zoom transcripts (we'll admit we just don't have time to read them) and a project management tool extensively. They're great for capturing details on a call and for defining and tracking tasks through to completion on a client project.
But that's only a fraction of what matters around a customer. The notes we take. The back-and-forth emails. The Slack threads. Pulling it all together — while our client list keeps growing — is a challenge (one I love) to say the least.
The solution: pulling it together
Noded keeps all of it straight. We create a tag for each customer — think of a channel in your collaboration app — and take notes (sloppy ones at best) during or after our discussions, and pull in the call transcripts. Along the way we capture actions for ourselves, for others on the team, and sometimes our asks of the customer. We send the critical emails to Noded too. Same with Slack threads — though not Karina's thirteen threads of cat memes.
Why? Because we might go days, sometimes a couple of weeks, between discussions with a client. Instead of spending hours preparing — hunting across the project management tool, email, and Slack — we click their tag in Noded and instantly see everything we need to know, with a summary and the key actions. In context. It's like having a digital assistant briefing us at exactly the right moment.
The result: a quarter of the week back
Noded keeps everything about our customers in one place and drives action — and ultimately client success — every single day. All in, it saves us an average of 8 hours per business week on organizing meeting notes, figuring out and assigning to-dos, and pulling everything together before the next meeting.
That's over 25% of our business week back — time we now spend networking, filling the lead pipeline, doing client work, and making our clients successful. Noded has served a mission-critical role in our agency's success, and in the success of our clients.
"Starting a company, finding new customers, growing customers, and building a team is so easy" — said no startup founder ever.
