Granola–HubSpot Integration Guide (2026)

Folder-based and minimal, very Granola: enhanced notes push to matched records as a Meeting or Note. It never creates records — unknown attendees silently don't sync.

TL;DR: Granola’s native HubSpot integration (Business plan, $14/user/mo) pushes enhanced notes as a Meeting or Note onto matched Contacts, Companies, or Deals — per-note, or automatically via folders. It’s one-way, matches by attendee email, and if no matching record exists, nothing happens: Granola never creates HubSpot records.

Granola’s integration list is famously short — the team clearly ships connectors reluctantly and carefully. HubSpot made the cut (Salesforce didn’t), and the design is very Granola: folder-based, minimal, and quietly opinionated. Verified against Granola’s docs.

How it works

Two modes:

1️⃣ Per-note: a share button pushes an enhanced note to HubSpot as a Meeting or Note object (your configured default; Meeting out of the box), associated with the Contact, Company, or Deal you select.

2️⃣ Auto-share via folders: flip on integration settings for a folder and every note added to it syncs automatically, matched to HubSpot records by attendee email. This is the workflow Granola wants you in — a “Customer Calls” folder that quietly files everything.

Setup is Settings → Connectors → HubSpot → OAuth; sync status and errors show under Settings > HubSpot. Two prerequisites people miss: the Business plan ($14/user/mo — integrations aren’t on the free tier), and a Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account — personal Gmail/Outlook accounts can’t use it.

The sharp edges

  • If no matching Contact or Company exists in HubSpot, nothing is created and nothing syncs. Granola never writes new records — the polar opposite of Fireflies’ create-a-lead-for-anyone option. Philosophically defensible; operationally, new-prospect calls silently don’t log until someone creates the contact.
  • One-way only. Nothing flows back into Granola.
  • No retroactive sync — notes already in a folder before you enable integration settings stay put.
  • Notes must be enhanced (Granola’s AI pass) and not marked Private.

The assessment

As a “my notes appear on the right HubSpot record” feature, it’s clean and low-maintenance — the folder pattern is genuinely clever, and for founders and CS leads running lightweight pipelines it may be all the CRM integration you need. What it isn’t — and doesn’t pretend to be — is revenue infrastructure: no field mapping, no opportunity logic, no transcript, no deal intelligence, and a matching rule that drops anything unknown on the floor.

If Granola is one voice in a bigger customer conversation — support in Zendesk or Intercom, sales calls in Gong or Zoom, threads in Gmail and Slack — the folder-to-record pipe was never going to carry the story. Noded ingests Granola natively along with the rest of that stack and weaves it into the Customer Context Graph: the bot-free notes your execs love, joined to everything else the account touches, remembered and searchable and acted on. Granola stays the world’s most pleasant notepad. The graph does the remembering.

FAQ

What plan does Granola’s HubSpot integration require?

Business ($14/user/mo), plus a Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account — it’s not available on personal email accounts.

Does Granola create HubSpot contacts for unknown attendees?

No — if no matching Contact or Company exists, the note simply doesn’t sync. Create the record first (or use a layer that handles matching).

Does it sync transcripts or old notes?

No transcripts — enhanced notes only, as a Meeting or Note object — and no retroactive sync of notes that predate the folder setting.
